Performance Testing for Optima

This document details the required steps for assessing and investigating performance issues in Optima with a focus on the rostering tab. These tests should be repeated once a day during problem periods at about 9:30 am local time. This will ensure the system is at is busiest when these tests are being done.

System Specification Checks

The final check that should be done is on the computer being used to access Optima. This should be searched by following the below.

1. Click Start

2. Search for System Information

3. Click top result

4. Screenshot this information ensuring things like number of cores and RAM are detailed.

Alternatively this can be found in Task Manager > Performance. Then selecting CPU then Memory. The minimum is 4 cores and 8GB of RAM. This is the requirement for the system. Once this is done this should be recorded and provided with the other results if required.

Speed Tests

The below table details the required speeds test that should be done. For the speedtest.net tests you can click “Change Server” and then search for a server in the below locations (any server will be fine here). This should be done over a Wired connection.

The below table should be used to record speed test results from the different sites: Server Location https://www.speedtest.net https://speedtest.allocate-cloud.co.uk/

Response Time Testing

The below table details all the required checks for testing response times in the rostering tab. This should be done for 3 different units. The largest unit, a mid sized unit and a smaller unit. This should be recorded in seconds.
